पिछले अध्याय में हम पढ़ चुके हैं कि जो घटाने योग्य अंक होते हैं। यहां हमें दो प्रकार के अंक प्राप्त होते हैं घटनीय अंक (घटाने के योग्य अंक) तथा अघटनीय अंक (घटाने के अयोग्य अंक)।
पिछले अध्याय में हमने देखा की एकाधिक अंक के द्वारा संख्याओं को कितनी आसानी से घटाया जा सकता है। अब हम एकनयून तरीके से संख्याओं को घटाना सीखने जा रहे हैं।
जैसा कि हम जानते हैं कि घटाने के दो तरीके हैं।
In the previous chapter we have read about the subtractable numbers which can be subtracted. Here we get two types of numbers: subtractable numbers (numbers capable of being subtracted) and non subtractable numbers (numbers not capable of being subtracted).
In the previous chapter we saw how easily numbers can be subtracted by multiple digits. Now we are going to learn how to subtract numbers.
As we know there are two methods of subtraction.
पहला तरीका
हमनें एकाधिक अंक के द्वारा घटाना सीखा।
First Method
We learned how to subtract by ekaadhik ank or digits.
दूसरा तरीका
एकानयून चिन्ह (*) के द्वारा घटाना सीखने जा रहे हैं। हम पिछली सारी बातों को यह मान लेते हैं कि आपके ध्यान में है इसलिए हम सीधे प्रश्न पर आते हैं।
second way
We are going to learn subtraction using the less sign (*). We assume that you have all the previous points in mind so we come straight to the question.
Minuendo (वियोज्य)
– Subtrahend (वियोजक)
= शेष (अंतर) Difference
वैदिक गणित में शुद्धीकरण (एकनयून) व परममित्र अंकों की सहायता से घटाने के वक्त हमें दोनों नामों व उनके कामों के बारे में जान लेना चाहिए। साथ ही हम दो शब्द अंतिम अंक और उपांतिम अंको के बारे में भी जानेंगे।
In Vedic mathematics, while doing purification (Eknayun) and subtracting with the help of Paramamitra numbers, we should know about both the names and their functions. Along with this, we will also learn about two words, last digit (unit or once digit) and second last digits (Tens).
अंतिम अंक और उपांतिम अंक
वियोज्य और वियोजक के वे दो अंक जिन पर वयवकलन प्रक्रिया की जा रही है। उन्हें हम अंतिम अंक मानेंगे तथा उससे पूर्व या पहले के अंक को उपांतिम अंक मानेंगे।
यदि इकाई पर प्रक्रिया हो रही है तो इकाई अंतिम अंक तथा दहाई उपांतिम अंक होगा।
Last Digit (Unit Or Once Digit) And Second Last Digits (Tens)
The two digits of the Minuendo and the Subtrahend on which the Subtraction process is being applied. We will consider them as the Last Digit (Unit Or Once Digit) and the digit before or after that will be considered as the Second Last Digits (Tens).
If the process is being done on units then units will be the last and tens will be the second last digit.
परममित्र अंक :
जिन दो अंकों का योग 10 होता है। वे दोनों अंक एक-दूसरे के परम मित्र अंक कहलाते हैं। अंको मे परम मित्रता होती है तथा वे कठिन परिस्थिति मे अपने मित्र अंको की सहायता करते हैं।
आइए देखें कि किन अंकों मे मित्रता होती है -
10 का मित्र 0 होता है।
9 का मित्र 1 होता है।
8 का मित्र 2 होता है।
7 का मित्र 3 होता है।
6 का मित्र 4 होता है।
5 का मित्र 5 होता है।
4 का मित्र 6 होता है।
3 का मित्र 7 होता है।
2 का मित्र 8 होता है।
1 का मित्र 9 होता है तथा
Parammitra Ank / Fast Friend/ Best Friend Number:
The sum of two numbers is 10. Those two numbers are called each other's Parammitra Ank / Fast Friend/ Best Friend Number:. Numbers have great friendship and they help their friends in difficult situations.
Let us see which numbers have friendship -
The fast friend of 10 is 0.
The fast friend of 9 is 1.
The fast friend of 8 is 2.
The fast friend of 7 is 3.
The fast friend of 6 is 4.
The fast friend of 5 is 5.
The fast friend of 4 is 6.
The fast friend of 3 is 7.
The fast friend of 2 is 8.
The fast friend of 1 is 9 and
उपरोक्त मित्र अंकों का अवलोकन करने पर ज्ञात होता है कि जिन दो अंको का योग 10 हो वे आपस मे मित्र होते हैं। जैसे कि
By observing the above friendship numbers, it is known that two numbers whose sum is 10 are friends with each other. Such as
0 <–> 10
1 <–> 9
2 <–> 8
3 <–> 7
4 <–> 6
5 <–> 5

शुद्धीकरण
(क) जब भी वियोज्य अंक बड़ा तथा वियोजक अंक छोटा हो तो वियोजन प्रक्रिया आसानी से की जा सकती है।
Purification
(a) Whenever the Minuendo digit is large and the Subtrahend digit is small, the Subtraction process can be done easily.
Un – Dn = Ans
(ख) लेकिन जब भी वियोज्य अंक (Un) छोटा तथा वियोजक अंक (Dn) बड़ा होता है तो वियोजन प्रक्रिया आसानी से नहीं की जा सकती है।
इसके लिए वियोज्य (Un) के उपांतिम अंक पर शुद्धीकरण (एकनयून) चिन्ह [ * ] लगा देते हैं। इससे वह उपांतिम अंक एक कम पढ़ा जाता है।
(b) But whenever the Minuendo digit (Un) is small and the Subtrahend digit (Dn) is large then the Subtraction process cannot be done easily.
For this, a purification sign [ * ] is placed on the last digit of the Minuendo (Un). Due to this the last digit is read one less.
Un – Dn = × = PM of Dn + Un = Ans
