विलोकनम का अर्थ होता है 'देखना' अतः हम संख्याओं को देखने के बाद निर्णय लेंगे कि हमें क्या करना है।
Vilokanam means 'to see' so after looking at the numbers we will decide what to do.
आधार से पूर्ण करके जोड़ना
adding by the completion of base
1 + 9 = 10 = 9 + 1
2 + 8 = 10 = 8 + 2
3 + 7 = 10 = 7 + 3
4 + 6 = 10 = 6 + 4
5 + 5 = 10 = 5 + 5
This 10 point circle will help you a lot.
आइए अब हम कुछ संख्याओं को मानसिक रूप से जोड़ने का प्रयास करते हैं।

9 + 3
(क) सबसे पहले संख्या को देखें और सोचे कि इनमें कौनसी संख्या को आसानी से कुछ जोड़कर या घटाकर 10 या 10 का गुणज आसानी से बनाया जा सकता है।
फिर सोचे कि इसे 10 या 10 का गुणज बनाने के लिए कौन सी संख्या में कितना जोड़ना या घटाना पड़ेगा ।
यहां संख्या 9 है जिसे 10 या 10 का गुणज बनाने के लिए इसमें 1 जोड़ना पड़ेगा।
(ख) उसी दूसरी वाली संख्या से प्राप्त करें और इस में जोड़ दें फिर जो शेष बचा उसे इसमें जोड़ दें।
9 को 10 बनाने के लिए इसमें 1 जोड़ना पड़ेगा।जो हमें दूसरी संख्या से लेना है।
जबकि दूसरी संख्या 3 है और 3 में से 1 लेने पर 2 बचता है।
9 + 3
= (9+1)/+/(3 –1)
= 10/+/2
= 12
ध्यान रहे कि हमें यह सारी गणना दिमाग में ही करनी है।

(a) First of all look at the numbers and think which of these numbers can be easily made a multiple of 10 or 10 by adding or subtracting something.
Then think about how much will have to be added or subtracted to which number to make it 10 or a multiple of 10.
Here the number is 9 to which 1 has to be added to make it 10 or a multiple of 10.
(b) Get the same number from the second number and add that number to the first number.
Here, to make 9 the number 10, 1 has to be added to it. Which we have to take from the second number.
Whereas the second number is 3 and taking 1 from 3 leaves 2.
(9+1)/(3 –1)
= 10/+/2
= 12
Keep in mind that we have to do all these calculations in our mind only.

25 + 8
सबसे पहले संख्या को देखें और सोचे कि इनमें की संख्या को आसानी से किस संख्या को जोड़कर या घटाकर 10 या 10 का गुणज आसानी से बनाया जा सकता है। फिर सोचे कि इसे 10 या 10 का गुणज बनाने के लिए कौन सी संख्या में कितना जोड़ना या घटाना पड़ेगा ।
यहां
(क) संख्या 25 व 28 में संख्या 8, संख्या 10 या 10 की गुणज के सबसे निकट है अतः इसमें हम दूसरी संख्या 25 से 2 लेकर 8 में जोड़ देते हैं।
(ख) जबकि दूसरी संख्या 25 है और 25 में से 2 लेने पर 25 – 2 = 23 बचता है।
(25 – 2)/+/(8+2)
= 23/+/10
= 33

= 23/+/10

अथवा
(क) संख्या 25, संख्या 10 या 10 की गुणज के निकट है अतः इसमें हम दूसरी संख्या से 5 लेकर जोड़ देते हैं।
(ख) 25 को 30 बनाने के लिए इसमें 5 जोड़ना पड़ेगा। जो हमें दूसरी संख्या 8 से लेना है।
जबकि दूसरी संख्या 8 है और 8 में से 5 लेने पर 8 – 5 = 3 बचता है।
(25+5)/+/(8 – 5)
= 30/+/3
= 33

(b) To make 25 30, 5 will have to be added to it. Which we have to take from the second number 8.
